Assala expressed her condolences to Fairuz: "My dearest lady, residing in our hearts in the highest and most beautiful place. May God have mercy on your son, the great artist Ziad Rahbani, the son of glory and the creator of exquisite art. May God grant you patience for your precious heart and make these difficult days easier for you, my lady of the nation, my doctor, and my remedy for all my pains with your voice, your dignity, and your high status, our dearest. May God be with you, our mother who gave birth to our souls, O great one, O Fairuz."

The most prominent eulogy came from Carmen Lebbos, who had previously announced her marriage to Ziad Rahbani verbally for 15 years. She bid him farewell by saying, commenting on a black photo: "Why like this? I feel like everything is gone, I feel like Lebanon is in mourning." The eulogy was accompanied by the melody of the song "I Have Confidence in You," sung by Fairuz and composed by the late artist.
