Russian news agency "Interfax" quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying on Thursday that Ukrainian forces attempted twice to breach the borders of the Russian Kursk region.

Reuters reported that it was unable to independently verify the accuracy of the reports from the battlefield.
