Russia .. Loss of Contact with a Passenger Plane Carrying 49 People

The Russian emergency services announced today, Thursday, the loss of contact with a passenger plane, the An-24, in the Amur region, with 49 people on board.
According to the emergency services in the region, rescue teams have been dispatched to the Tyndinsky area in the Amur region to search for the missing plane.
A source told TASS news agency that "An-24 aircraft of Angara Airlines was unable to establish contact with the control point a few kilometers from Tynda Airport." It was carrying 40 passengers, including two children, and 6 crew members.
The Governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov, said that the plane was carrying 43 passengers, including 5 children, and 6 crew members.
