Russia Bans Activities of "International Movement of Satan Worshipers" within its Territories

The Supreme Court of Russia today approved the request of the prosecutor general Igor Krasnov to consider the so-called "International Movement of Satan Worshipers" as a new Nazi organization and to ban its activities in Russian territories.

The Russian Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that this movement is closely linked to extremist nationalist and new Nazi tendencies.

It explained that the movement is based on extremist ideology, hatred, and hostility towards celestial religions. Its members openly call for the destruction and desecration of Orthodox churches, practice black magic rituals and murder. They also use unified symbols and insignias, and their intellectual foundations are based on extremist racist publications.

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia mentioned the "International Movement of Satan Followers" for the first time in January 2025 and called for a legal ban on Satan worship in Russia.

He emphasized that Satan followers "trample on the values of the Russians defended by fighters in the special military operation zone" in Ukraine.
