Queen Rania: The Siege of Gaza is a Humanitarian Catastrophe and Starvation of an Entire People

Queen Rania Al Abdullah, wife of Jordanian King Abdullah II, described what is happening in the Gaza Strip as an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe," emphasizing that "the brutality is evident and cannot be denied."
This came in a speech she delivered to university students in Mexico during the Siglo Mexico (21st Century) conference, where she stressed that Gaza today represents a "moral lens" that compels the world to reevaluate the foundations upon which standards of civilization and leadership are built.
Queen Rania stated that "Israel is starving an entire people under a siege that cuts off their lifelines," adding that tens of thousands have been killed, homes and histories have been destroyed, while exhausted doctors struggle amid a severe shortage of supplies, and journalists are killed on the front lines without accountability.
She pointed out that what is happening in Gaza leads many around the world to question the prevailing narratives and discover how facts can be distorted to justify indescribable suffering and strip an entire people of their humanity.
Queen Rania concluded by asserting that "there can be no justification for bombing hospitals, starving children, or shooting at people seeking aid," calling for a global stand to restore the importance of moral and humanitarian values.
