Qatari Prime Minister Warns Against Targeting Infrastructure and Calls for De-escalation

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday that Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani warned, during a call he received from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, about the risks of targeting infrastructure amid the ongoing escalation in the region.

The Qatari Prime Minister confirmed that targeting facilities related to food, water, and energy represents a dangerous precedent that could lead to wide-ranging humanitarian and economic repercussions.

Bin Abdulrahman emphasized the urgent need to immediately halt escalatory actions and return to the dialogue path to contain the crisis and prevent the spread of tension in the region.
