PUBG and VPN hinder the work of the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce and calls for their deletion

Amid the ongoing campaign launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce to update citizens' data through the electronic ration card application, which aims to organize the database and ensure the delivery of ration items to the actual beneficiaries using a modern digital system, the branch of the Ministry of Commerce in Thi Qar province, Iraq, called on citizens to delete the "PUBG" game application and "VPN" programs from their mobile phones before updating the electronic ration card data.
The branch pointed out that the presence of these applications may lead to "family blocking" within the new system.
The branch explained in an official statement that "VPN software changes the device's geographical location from Iraq to other countries, resulting in changing the IP address, which prevents the update process from completing or temporarily excludes the family from the database".
The statement also noted that some games like "PUBG" may affect the application's performance technically or cause conflicts that prevent smooth data processing.
