Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Prime Minister, discussed in separate calls with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the recent developments in the region, especially the military operations carried out by the United States against Iran, targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

The discussions focused on the importance of restraint and de-escalation in the region. The Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's position calling for all efforts to avoid escalation and resolve disputes through diplomatic means, emphasizing the need for calm and opening channels of dialogue to achieve security and stability.

The Crown Prince also discussed with all Gulf leaders the developments in the Iranian file, the impact of the Israeli attack on Iran, in addition to the American targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities, expressing the Kingdom's deep concern over these events, confirming Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation of the violation of Iran's sovereignty.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement through the "X" platform, expressing its deep concern over the targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities by the United States, renewing its condemnation of this violation, and emphasizing the need for all efforts to exercise restraint and avoid escalation. The international community was called upon to double its efforts to reach a political solution to end the crisis and ensure the stability of the region.

In contrast, Iran announced its readiness to defend itself by all necessary means, warning that American strikes on its nuclear facilities will have lasting repercussions on regional security.

These developments come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, in addition to tensions between Iran and Israel, amidst intense diplomatic and regional movements to maintain security and reduce risks in the region.
