Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party Condemns Terrorist Attack on Mar Elias Church in Damascus

The Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting Mar Elias Church in the Syrian capital, Damascus, warning that the main goal of this heinous act is to "spread chaos, undermine internal security, and obstruct the reconstruction process of the Syrian state".

This statement was issued by the party, as reported by the "Lebanese National News Agency", emphasizing the "necessity of full vigilance to confront attempts to destabilize stability by intimidating the components of the Syrian people", especially in light of "the new phase the country is going through, which increases the challenges and requires intensified efforts to strengthen national unity and rally around the state and its institutions".

The party also expressed in its statement "deepest condolences to the Syrian leadership, the Syrian people in general, and particularly to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, for the victims of this heinous crime".
