Real Madrid turns the tables on Manchester City and achieves a valuable victory in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off:

In an exciting football night, Real Madrid managed to turn the tables on Manchester City and secure a precious victory with a score of 3-2 in the first leg of the knockout stage qualifying for the Champions League round of 16, in a match held at the "Etihad Stadium".

Match details:

Manchester City started the match strongly, and Norwegian star Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 20th minute, marking his first goal in the tournament against Real Madrid after 14 shots and 378 minutes of play. The first half ended with the home team leading 1-0, despite Real Madrid's multiple attempts where they shot 9 times on target, exceeding what they scored in 120 minutes during the last season's quarter-final second leg.

In the second half;
Real Madrid regained their balance, and Kylian Mbappe managed to equalize in the 60th minute, but City took the lead again through Haaland from a penalty in the 79th minute.
As the match approached its end;
Real Madrid refused to surrender, equalizing through Vinicius Junior in the 86th minute, before Luka Belingham snatched the winning goal in the +92nd minute to seal the match in favor of the Royal team with a 3-2 score, putting one foot in the round of 16 before the second leg clash at the "Santiago Bernabeu".

* Paris Saint-Germain secures a 3-0 win against Brest:

French star Ousmane Dembele led Paris Saint-Germain to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Stade Brest, putting his team in a strong position ahead of the second leg.

Portuguese player Vitorino opened the scoring from a penalty in the 21st minute, before Dembele added the second goal in stoppage time of the first half after a brilliant run from the right side. In the 66th minute, Dembele scored his second and third goals for his team after following up on a rebound inside the penalty area.

With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain is close to securing qualification, as the second leg will be held on February 19 at the "Parc des Princes".
