After much controversy, the Egyptian bride returns to her family's home, revealing her story.

Social media platforms have been buzzing in the past few hours with the story of the Egyptian couple, Majida and Mohamed, whose wedding took place on the second day of Eid al-Adha.
The controversy started after a video from the wedding reception went viral on social media, showing the groom with Down syndrome, while the bride appeared in tears, raising questions about whether she was forced into this marriage.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution responded to calls from activists and stated in a press release that they handed over a minor bride to her mother in the governorate of Sharkia, following an investigation into a report from the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood regarding her customary marriage to a young man with Down syndrome.
The Public Prosecution took a commitment from the mother not to marry off her daughter before reaching the legal age.
An official from the "Child Protection" line in Sharkia mentioned that as soon as the incident spread on social media, the Public Prosecution was notified to take legal actions. It was revealed that the bride, named Majida, is under the legal age, being 15 years old, and that the marriage was conducted in a customary manner.
Despite the interventions and strict legal measures, the bride expressed her happiness to local media about her marriage to Mohamed, stating that their engagement lasted for about eight months. The groom's brother mentioned that his brother loves his bride, and that their marriage was consensual.
