Official Visit Enhances Digital Cooperation Between Syria and Saudi Arabia
As part of strengthening the strategic relations between Syria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an official delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Communications, headed by Minister Abdul Salam Haykal, visited the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology today, Monday, where he was received by Saudi Minister Abdullah Al-Sawahah and several senior officials in the sector.

During the meeting, Minister Haykal conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Ahmad Al-Shara to the brothers in the Kingdom, emphasizing the depth of bilateral ties and the importance of developing cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and modern technology.

The meeting focused on the necessity of implementing a large-scale national digital transformation in Syria and enhancing the efficiency of public institutions, alongside building national competencies capable of leading the digital future, in line with global trends in this field.

Minister Haykal pointed out that Syria is currently undergoing a new national foundation phase that goes beyond mere reconstruction and requires qualitative cooperation and exchange of experiences, especially with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has provided an inspiring model in technical development and digital transformation over the past five years.

For his part, the Saudi minister expressed the Kingdom's full readiness to provide the necessary support and expertise to Syria at this stage, which enhances the opportunities for digital integration between the two countries.
