Official: The United States will evacuate all its bases in Syria, keeping only one.

Al Jazeera channel quoted unnamed US officials as saying that US forces in Syria will abandon all their bases in Syria, keeping only one military base out of eight, located in the vicinity of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.
Officials estimate that the number of US troops in Syria will be reduced to less than a thousand by the end of this year, "if conditions permit."
The officials mentioned that all bases, including the Tanf base, will be abandoned, noting that the evacuation process will require several months and suitable security conditions.
Earlier, a US official revealed that the United States withdrew 500 US soldiers from Syria, closed at least two bases, and handed over a third base to the "Syrian Democratic Forces" in the past few weeks.
The official at the US Department of Defense stated that "the repositioning of US forces in Syria is being done safely and thoughtfully, based on specific field conditions."
It is worth mentioning that US forces have so far evacuated three bases in northeastern Syria, namely: Green Village, Hasakah, and the Euphrates, handing some over to the "Syrian Democratic Forces," while more than 500 US soldiers have left Syria for Iraq, Kuwait, and the United States as part of the withdrawal process, according to Al Jazeera sources.
