In a new step towards enhancing joint media work and expanding cooperation between Mediterranean news agencies, the Syrian Arab News Agency "SANA" signed three cooperation agreements yesterday in the Moroccan city of Marrakech on the sidelines of the 33rd General Assembly of the Association of Mediterranean News Agencies "AMAN." The agreements included the Arab Maghreb News Agency, the Italian News Agency "ANSA," and the Bosnia and Herzegovina News Agency "FENA," aiming to strengthen content and expertise exchange in the fields of editing, digital media, and technology. The agreement was signed between the Director-General of the Arab Maghreb News Agency, Fouad Aarif, and the Director-General of the Syrian Arab News Agency "SANA," Mr. Ziad al-Mahamid, in the presence of representatives from member news agencies of the association. The agreement includes: * Bilateral and free exchange of multimedia content including texts, images, videos, and graphics. * Providing direct and secure access to the editorial platforms of both agencies. * Priority coverage of events in both countries for the two agencies. * Facilitating the tasks of journalists and providing professional support. Organizing joint professional visits and training in editorial, technical, and digital fields to enhance human capabilities and keep pace with rapid developments in the media sector. Signing these agreements is part of SANA's new strategy to engage in regional and international media partnerships, expanding its presence in the global media space to reflect Syria's voice and address its issues on the international stage. This step emphasizes the importance of cooperation between news agencies to enhance understanding and information exchange in the Mediterranean region, and to uphold values of professionalism and objectivity in journalism.
