Death of a Pakistani student after being beaten by his school principal.

A 10-year-old child tragically lost his life due to injuries sustained from a brutal beating by his private school principal in northern Pakistan, in front of his classmates inside the classroom.
According to reports, Khayal Khan, a sixth-grade student, was repeatedly beaten with a stick on his head, face, and back for a minor mistake, leading to his later death in the hospital.
The British newspaper "Mirror" reported that the principal has been arrested, and an official investigation into the incident has been opened. Ray Mazhar Iqbal, a police officer in the Khyber region, affirmed that "violence against children is absolutely unacceptable," considering that "a teacher should be a role model and not abuse their position in such a cruel manner."
It is worth noting that Pakistan banned corporal punishment in schools since 2021, yet reports indicate its continued practice in some educational institutions, especially with around 24 million children out of school. Educational activists attribute part of the phenomenon of student dropout to the prevalence of violence in schools.
