In a new escalation on the northern borders, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will not hesitate to attack any site in Lebanon that poses a threat, stating that "the equation may have changed." His statements came after Israeli airstrikes today targeted areas in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, allegedly aiming at infrastructure believed to be affiliated with Hezbollah, which is suspected of using them to store drones. Netanyahu pointed out that Israel will not allow its communities to be fired upon, vowing to forcefully enforce the ceasefire in Lebanon to ensure the safe return of all northern residents to their homes. He added that these airstrikes are a message to those who have not understood the new situation in Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Israeli army confirmed targeting a site used by Hezbollah in the southern suburb of Beirut, claiming that this strike is part of its ongoing efforts to remove any threats against Israel. The responsibility for Lebanon's commitment to the ceasefire agreement lies with the Lebanese government, and launching rockets from Lebanon towards the Galilee is considered a clear violation of the agreements. On the other hand, Hezbollah denied any involvement in the rocket attack on the Galilee, reaffirming its commitment to the ceasefire agreement signed on November 27, under American and French sponsorship, which ended the bloody confrontations between the two sides. Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, also threatened to strike Beirut if rocket launches continue, stating: "There will be no calm in Beirut unless the Galilee is calm."
