The city of Taza, in central Morocco, witnessed a horrific assault crime that shook public opinion, after a man disfigured his ex-wife's face using a white weapon, in an incident that sparked a wave of outrage and widespread sympathy for the victim.
The victim, named Iman, revealed in press statements that her ex-husband, from whom she separated six months ago, continued to stalk and assault her repeatedly, before carrying out his latest attack last Tuesday, where he attempted to detain her and then beat and disfigure her, causing her serious injuries and scars on her face and various parts of her body.
