In his first comment on the tragic incident that occurred at his recent concert last night in Porto area in the North Coast, Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan confirmed that the explosion was not caused by a bomb, but it is speculated that it was due to the explosion of a gas cylinder used for fireworks within the stage setup.
Ramadan stated in a post on his social media accounts: "It is God's will and what He has decreed .. It's not a bomb, and investigations by the search authorities are currently ongoing. I made sure myself that the area and the stage were completely scanned to ensure the safety of the audience and myself".
He added that the incident was most likely fate, offering condolences to the family of Hussam, one of the fireworks team members who died as a result of the explosion, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
The fireworks suddenly fell on the audience during the concert, leading to the death of one of the technical team members and injuries to others. Eyewitnesses reported that ambulances quickly arrived at the scene to transport the injured to nearby hospitals.
According to witnesses, Mohamed Ramadan ended the concert immediately after the incident occurred, and asked the audience to leave the venue calmly and without crowding to avoid further injuries.
The concert had received wide promotion from Ramadan on his platforms, describing it as his first public concert in the summer of 2025, indicating the largest concert space allocated in the history of the North Coast for this show, with tickets sold out completely before the concert date.
The security authorities are still conducting investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible, amidst widespread interaction from the audience and followers with the painful incident that overshadowed the summer season.
