The Syrian Minister of Transport, Engineer Yaroub Badr, chaired a meeting today, Tuesday, at the ministry building with the head of the Lebanese Truck Owners Union for international transport, to discuss ways to facilitate the passage of Lebanese trucks through Syrian territories towards Arab countries, as part of the preparations for the Syrian-Lebanese Joint Committee meeting for land transport.
Minister Badr emphasized the Ministry of Transport's openness to cooperation based on common interests, stressing the importance of removing obstacles hindering freight and transit movement, to enhance economic ties between the two countries and support the land transport sector.
The meeting also reviewed the main difficulties facing Lebanese trucks and proposed practical suggestions to improve coordination and facilitate movement.
