During the meeting, Minister Al-Halabi highlighted the government's support for private universities, which are part of the educational fabric in Syria, and the competition in educational outcomes, providing necessary facilities to establish universities with specialized disciplines, developing modern curricula, and monitoring the quality of education. He emphasized the need for studying and establishing legal controls and mechanisms for dealing with blended and virtual universities, discussing proposed projects, and confirming the ministry's support for any initiative that serves students and the community in accordance with approved regulations and laws.

Minister Al-Halabi mentioned the existence of standards for private education that are being implemented, stressing the importance of linking educational outcomes and research to the job market, focusing on technical education, digital transformation as a necessity, and academic freedom relied upon in the upcoming stage.

In turn, Dr. Al-Masri expressed the university's readiness to cooperate in all areas, support the ministry and Syrian universities in technical and technological aspects, and the university's desire to establish a branch in Syria with specialized disciplines that meet the needs of the Syrian environment, such as agricultural economics, nuclear physics, media, computer science and information, education, social and psychological sciences, strategic management, pharmaceutical chemistry, law and political science, informatics, and communication.

The delegation, which included professors, deans of faculties, and members of the university's board of trustees, stated during the meeting that the Syrian situation was studied, and a suitable educational plan was developed. The university's strategy focuses on integrating technology in education, adopting non-traditional specializations, focusing on scientific research, establishing a center for studies and research, and digitizing education.

It is worth mentioning that the American International University of Bashan in Syria and the Gulf was established in 2019 in Colorado, USA, and follows the blended education system, offering online theoretical study and practical attendance at its accredited centers, in addition to various academic programs for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
