Minister of Higher Education Discusses Cooperation with Spanish Special Envoy to Syria

The two parties discussed reactivating and developing previous agreements between the two sides, enhancing academic and scientific ties, forming a committee to monitor the implementation of signed memoranda of understanding, and identifying needs in the field of higher education and scientific research.
Minister Al-Halabi also highlighted the longstanding renewed relations between the two sides and the shared history between the two countries, expressing the ministry's readiness to cooperate in areas where Spain excels, regarding research, exchange of experiences, conferences, and issues related to improving the ranking of Syrian universities.
On his part, González Sabala emphasized his country's interest in opening channels of communication and scientific cooperation with Syria, activating agreements between the two sides, exchanging visits and delegations, confirming readiness to cooperate in all fields, and continuing communication and coordination for mutual cooperation.
