Mbappé files criminal complaint against his former club Paris Saint-Germain

French star Kylian Mbappé has filed a criminal complaint against his former club Paris Saint-Germain, accusing them of engaging in "ethical harassment" and attempting to pressure him in inhumane ways to renew his contract during the summer of 2023.
The public prosecutor's office in Paris confirmed receiving the complaint submitted by Mbappé, in which he stated that the Parisian club isolated him from the first team and forced him to train with the excluded players group in an attempt to pressure him into accepting the contract extension that was set to expire in June 2024, as reported by the "Agence France-Presse".
The roots of the conflict date back to the summer of 2023 when Mbappé informed the club management that he did not intend to activate the renewal option for an additional season. In response, Paris Saint-Germain excluded him from the first team list and deprived him of the privileges of the main players, which the player considered a violation of his rights as a professional employee.
In addition to the criminal complaint, Mbappé has filed a civil lawsuit before the labor court in France, seeking to obtain €55 million as financial dues, including salaries and bonuses, which he claims the club did not pay him. The French Professional Football League (LFP) supported Mbappé's claims in an initial ruling and requested Paris Saint-Germain to pay the amount. However, the club appealed the ruling, and the case remains ongoing.
