Macron announces military support for Ukraine with 2 billion euros.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday, March 26, an additional allocation of 2 billion euros to support Ukraine militarily, as part of his country's continued commitment to assist Kyiv in facing current security challenges.
This announcement was made during a joint press conference held by Macron with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in the French capital, Paris, where he stated: "Today, I announce the provision of 2 billion euros as additional military support for Ukraine."
Macron explained that this assistance is part of France's efforts to enhance Ukrainian defense capabilities, affirming that his country will continue to rally the efforts of international partners during the meeting scheduled to take place in Paris on Thursday, aiming to strengthen military support for Ukraine.
The French President revealed that the new military aid provided to Kyiv will include anti-tank missiles, surface-to-air missiles, and drones.
On the other hand, Macron accused Russia of reinterpreting and amending recently reached limited ceasefire agreements.
This comes as the United States announced on Tuesday reaching separate agreements, one with Ukraine and the other with Russia, to halt attacks at sea and on energy facilities, in exchange for Washington's agreement to lift some sanctions imposed on Moscow.
In response to the American statements, the Kremlin affirmed that the Black Sea agreements will not be implemented unless some Russian banks are reconnected to the global financial system.
