Lotfi Labib in Critical Condition After Returning to Intensive Care Unit.. Actors' Syndicate President Asks for Prayers

Renowned actor Lotfi Labib has returned to the intensive care unit following a sudden deterioration in his health condition, as revealed by Ashraf Zaki, the president of the Actors' Syndicate in Egypt. Zaki confirmed that the actor is in critical condition, necessitating immediate medical intervention, stating: "Lotfi Labib is in critical condition after his health deteriorated once again, and we appeal to everyone to pray for him during this difficult crisis."
Zaki further explained that the syndicate is closely monitoring his health condition in coordination with the medical team, noting that the actor is facing severe health challenges.
This development comes after years of health struggles for the veteran actor, who officially announced his retirement from acting due to his health condition. Labib had earlier disclosed a serious health setback that required a surgical operation to remove a tumor in his throat, affecting his voice.
Seven years ago, he also suffered a stroke that caused paralysis in the left half of his body, leading to his absence from the limelight for a long period. Despite some later partial improvement, his artistic contributions became limited due to his health condition.
Despite the challenges, Labib had previously expressed satisfaction with his extensive artistic career, which includes over 380 artistic works, affirming his decision to retire and focus on writing as a new means of expressing his creativity.
His latest appearance in a film was in "Mar'et El Biremou", where he starred alongside actors like Mohamed Henedy, Ghada Adel, Ahmed Bedeir, and directed by Saeed Hamed.
