The march calling for an end to the war on Gaza, organized in Rome by opposition forces represented by the "Democratic Party," "Five Star Movement," and "Italian Left Alliance" (M5s), started from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II to reach San Giovanni in Laterano. Tens of thousands of people marched, waving Palestinian flags, peace flags, party flags, and anti-war banners. There were also flags of Israel and peace flags with the Star of David, symbolizing support for a two-state solution. The march began with a banner that read "Gaza Stop the Massacre. Enough Complicity." According to "Quotidiano," at least ten thousand people lined the streets of Rome, with thousands more in the square where the march ended. Leading the protest were the heads of the three parties: Giuseppe Conte of "M5," Elio Schlein of the "Italian Democratic Party," and Angelo Bonelli and Nicola Fratoianni of the "Left Alliance." The march started with the famous partisan song "Bella Ciao," while chants of "Free Palestine," "We are all Palestinians," and "Free, Free, Free Palestine" echoed in the background. Speaking to the media, the Secretary-General of the Italian Democratic Party, Schlein, said: "Participating in the march is a significant response (to what is happening in Gaza) to say enough to the massacre of Palestinians and the crimes of the Netanyahu government. It is another Italy that does not remain silent like the Meloni government. It is Italy that wants to recognize the Palestinian state, and this is the Italy we want."
