The King Abdulaziz Public Library is participating in the 2025 Bologna International Book Fair, held in the Italian city of Bologna, showcasing a range of its leading cultural and knowledge projects through the Saudi Arabia pavilion. Under the supervision of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority, the library offers visitors from around the world a comprehensive view of its efforts in preserving Arab and Islamic heritage, displaying rare manuscripts and ancient images, in addition to highlighting the latest releases and translated books that showcase Saudi culture. The library's participation goes beyond book displays, offering an innovative vision of its work in children's literature by dedicating a special corner for children of various ages to interact with a variety of stories and interactive activities that foster their love for reading. It also highlights the library's role in establishing specialized libraries for children and adolescents, reflecting the Kingdom's interest in different age groups. Through this participation, the King Abdulaziz Public Library aims to be a cultural bridge between Saudi Arabia and the world, contributing to showcasing the Kingdom's Vision 2030 that aims to connect the Saudi cultural scene with global achievements. These efforts are evident in enhancing cultural and intellectual exchanges, and presenting living examples of cultural projects that contribute to enriching the global cultural movement. The pavilion not only featured cultural and intellectual exhibitions but also hosted a seminar titled "Philosophical Thinking in Saudi Arabia," delivered by Mouda Al-Hamid, discussing the importance of teaching philosophical thinking in the Kingdom. She emphasized that this direction is a vital step towards building generations capable of critical thinking and logical analysis, enabling them to deal with contemporary challenges, broaden their cultural horizons, and enhance their understanding of ethical and social concepts. The participation of the King Abdulaziz Public Library in this international event sheds light on the Kingdom's cultural status, reaffirming its commitment to heritage preservation and promoting contemporary cultural thought in line with global aspirations, strengthening its role in the international cultural scene.
