Joint European - Western Statement on Sudan

On Wednesday, 24 European and Western countries issued a joint statement condemning the violence against civilians and humanitarian organizations in Sudan, reaffirming their firm rejection of targeting civilians and humanitarian workers.

The statement noted that the violations committed in Sudan may amount to war crimes, calling for independent and transparent investigations into all allegations related to these violations.

The statement also emphasized the need to bring those responsible for these crimes to justice and hold them accountable under international law, amid the ongoing deterioration of humanitarian and security conditions in the country.
