Japan and Greece Condemn Terrorist Bombing in a Church in Damascus

International and regional condemnations and denunciations continue to pour in following the terrorist bombing carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with the "ISIS" organization classified on global terrorism lists. The attack claimed the lives of dozens of worshipers while they were praying at the Mar Elias Church in the Dwelaa area of the capital Damascus.
The Japanese Embassy in Syria stated on its (X) platform: "We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Damascus and offer our deepest condolences to the victims. Our hearts are with the wounded, the families of the affected, and the Syrian people."
Meanwhile, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the heinous terrorist bombing.
The Ministry wrote on its X platform: "Religious places should not be targets of terrorism, and everyone has the right to practice their religious rituals peacefully and securely."
The Ministry called for immediate measures to hold those involved accountable, and to implement measures ensuring the safety of all components of the Syrian people and allowing them to live without fear.
