Israeli forces carried out a series of airstrikes today, Friday, March 28, on the Al-Hadath neighborhood in the southern suburb of Beirut, in the first operation of its kind since the ceasefire agreement was announced. The airstrikes came after a warning issued by the Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee on social media platforms, urging residents of the area to evacuate immediately. Reports from "Blinkx" cited witnesses and security sources describing a wave of panic and mass exodus among the residents of the suburb, who fled by car or on foot fearing escalation. According to sources, Israeli drones targeted a building in the area, with no official information on casualties released so far. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Education warned schools and universities in the Al-Hadath area of imminent danger, urging immediate evacuation. The threatened area houses dozens of schools filled with students. The airstrikes coincided with the Israeli army's announcement of intercepting a missile launched from Lebanese territories and another missile falling inside Lebanon.
