The Israeli army has announced the start of a ground operation in the Rafah area to "expand the security zone in southern Gaza." In a related context, the Israeli army attacked a mortar shell site in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza after its forces were fired upon from the area, according to the army's press office. The total casualties of Israeli military operations in Gaza since March 18 have risen to 921 victims and over 2000 injured, as reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the region. According to the ministry's official Telegram channel, 26 victims, including a body recovered from under the rubble, and 70 injured were taken to Gaza hospitals in the past 24 hours.
