The Internal Security Directorate in the Daraya area of Damascus Countryside was able today, Friday, to arrest an explosive device planted on the wall of a military barracks in the Al-Bardeh area after receiving a report about a strange object with a blue sticker.
An official security source confirmed that the internal security patrols moved immediately, cordoned off the area, and closed the roads, only to find that the object was an explosive device weighing 20 kilograms and equipped with a remote detonation device via a mobile phone.
According to the source, specialized teams dismantled the device without any injuries, and the relevant authorities have started an investigation to uncover the perpetrators.
