The President of the Temporary Committee for Managing the Affairs of the Basketball Federation, Aram Awadisian, confirmed that "the men's league and the youth leagues will resume next month." During a press conference held at the federation's headquarters in Al-Faheeha, Awadisian stated that the men's league teams will be divided into two groups, and the teams will play a final stage (Final 8) in a playoff system, where the team winning two out of three matches will advance to the final four. Regarding the national teams, Awadisian explained that "preparing the team for the Asian finals will involve different preparations through training camps and participation in preparatory tournaments," noting that "the Syrian women's team will participate in the West Asia Championship scheduled in Jordan in the near future." The Head of the Team Sports Office, Firas Tait, pointed out that "preparations are underway for the basketball federation elections, with the involvement of experienced individuals in the sport. The preparations are being made meticulously to ensure fair outcomes, free from favoritism, unlike the previous regime."
