Insurance and pensions: Next week, pensions for military retirees for the current month of March will be disbursed.

The General Organization for Insurance and Pensions announced that the pensions for military retirees for the current month of March will be disbursed during the upcoming week.

The Director-General of the organization, Mashhur Mohammad Al-Zu'bi, stated to SANA: "Under the directives of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammad Abazid, the pensions for military retirees for the current month of March will be disbursed to retirees and their eligible beneficiaries, including 'heirs' from before the year 2011, during the upcoming week."

He further explained that "the financial allocation for March pensions for retired military personnel and their eligible beneficiaries from before the year 2011 amounted to 31 billion Syrian pounds, to be disbursed to 188,889 retired military personnel and their eligible beneficiaries. Pensions due for the months of January and February will be transferred and disbursed to the eligible recipients at a later date."
