UN delegation enters the city of Nawa regarding Israeli violations

An UN delegation entered the city of Nawa in western Daraa countryside on its first field visit since the recent escalation in the region.
The delegation toured inside the city before holding a meeting with the locals to discuss the humanitarian situation and the risks resulting from Israeli occupation forces' attacks, including the Nawa massacre.
The meeting lasted about an hour during which the UN delegation listened to the residents' testimonies and their demands for urgent intervention and action to protect them from repeated violations.
In a statement to journalists, activist journalist Adnan Abdullah explained that the visit comes after Israeli occupation forces targeted a group of young men in the city in April last year, while attempting to infiltrate towards the agricultural lands west of Nawa, resulting in the martyrdom of nine people due to Israeli drone airstrikes, in addition to targeting Tel al-Jumou military post west of the city.
At the end of the tour, the UN convoy left the city of Nawa heading towards the towns of Sheikh Saad and Tasil west of the region.
