India Reveals Plans to Build a Space Station and Launch 50 Missions Annually

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a video speech on the occasion of National Space Day 2025 ambitious plans for his country in the field of space, including the launch of the first manned mission to space "Gaganyaan" and the construction of an Indian space station in the coming years.
Modi confirmed that India is preparing to carry out up to 50 space launches annually, supported by five major national companies, emphasizing that the space sector has become one of the most prominent sources of pride for India and its scientific achievements.
He also announced the establishment of what he called the "Astronauts' Assembly," inviting Indian youth to join and participate in shaping the country's future in this field.
The Prime Minister reviewed recent achievements, including India's arrival at the South Pole of the Moon two years ago and the development of advanced technologies such as semi-cooled engines and electric propulsion, considering that these successes reflect India's confidence in its heritage and its determination for its space future.
