In a move aimed at enhancing discipline and compliance with the organized regulations of Hajj and Umrah affairs, Saudi authorities have announced the implementation of strict financial penalties against companies and institutions providing services to pilgrims and Umrah performers who fail to report to the relevant authorities any pilgrim or performer who has not left the Kingdom after the specified period of their legal stay. The Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that fines could reach up to 100,000 Saudi riyals, noting that the penalty increases with the number of non-compliant pilgrims and performers. This places a significant responsibility on service-providing companies and institutions, emphasizing the crucial need for strict adherence to regulations and instructions without any leniency. This direction is part of the Kingdom's efforts to organize Hajj and Umrah affairs with the highest efficiency, ensuring respect for the granted legal stay period for each visitor. This guarantees the safety of procedures and the credibility of services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful, while simultaneously curbing violations that could negatively impact the reputation of this sacred ritual. The Ministry also emphasized the necessity for all relevant parties to adhere to official instructions and regulations, fully comply with the procedures for reporting violations, affirming that this cooperation is an essential part of the security and organizational system that ensures the success of Hajj and Umrah seasons smoothly and orderly.
