In its final statement.. The Doha Summit condemns the "cowardly Israeli aggression" and calls for activating collective defense

Today, the Qatari capital Doha witnessed an emergency Gulf summit followed by an Arab Islamic summit, attended by leaders and dignitaries from the Arab and Islamic worlds, to coordinate common positions and discuss the serious repercussions of the Israeli attack that targeted Qatari territory.
In the final statement of the summit, participants emphasized the necessity of taking the required measures to activate mechanisms for collective defense and enhance Gulf deterrence capabilities. The Joint Defense Council was also directed to hold an urgent meeting in Doha. The statement stressed the condemnation of the blatant Israeli violation of Qatar's sovereignty, calling on all countries and organizations to condemn the Israeli aggression against Qatar and to show solidarity with Qatar in all its measures.
In the opening session, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, opened the conference, affirming that "Doha has been subjected to a treacherous attack, and the Israeli aggression was shocking to the entire world.. it resulted in casualties, including a Qatari," describing it as a "cowardly terrorist act."
His Highness reviewed the mediation efforts led by Qatar, noting that "Qatar has been working for two years as a mediator to end the genocide in Gaza and secure the release of hostages." He also sharply criticized the Israeli government, stating: "Negotiations for Israel are a tactic of war.. The Israeli government does not want the hostages," emphasizing that "the Israeli government exploits the war to expand settlements and change the status quo."
The Emir of Qatar added: "The Israeli government believes it will impose facts on the Arabs.. Netanyahu dreams of making the Arab region an Israeli sphere of influence." He also revealed that "Israel insists on continuing the genocide in Gaza.. and Hamas was considering a proposal to stop the war during the Israeli aggression."
For their part, the Secretaries-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League expressed their full support for Qatar's position. His Excellency Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, affirmed the organization's support for the outcomes of the conference on resolving the Palestinian issue and the two-state solution, reiterating support for the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their state, and stressing the necessity of implementing Security Council resolutions to cease fire in Gaza.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, stated that "the Israeli aggression against Qatar has exceeded all limits," while words from leaders of Arab and Islamic countries condemning the Israeli attack and expressing solidarity with Qatar continued.
