Security forces in Homs have arrested General "Assaf Issa al-Nissan," today, Saturday, for his involvement in war crimes against the Syrian people during the rule of the ousted regime. According to the Ministry of Interior's Telegram account, al-Nissan held several military positions ranging from commanding military operations in Wadi al-Daif in Idlib countryside to overseeing artillery positions at the top of Mount Arbaeen near Ariha, passing through leading the military operations room in the Kafr Nabl area and its surroundings, and finally taking over the command of the Eighth Division and chairing the security committee in Hama province. The Ministry added: "Al-Nissan was known for directly implementing policies of repression, crime, and destruction, and was close to the criminal Suheil al-Hassan, serving as one of his criminal arms in the field." It was mentioned that he will be referred to the competent judiciary to face the consequences of his actions during the reign of the ousted Assad.
