Harvard reaches settlement in lawsuit filed by Jewish student alleging anti-Semitism.

Harvard University has reached an agreement with Jewish student Alexander Kestenbaum (known as "Shoobie") to settle the lawsuit he filed against them for allegedly ignoring anti-Semitism on campus, according to court documents filed in the federal court in Boston yesterday, Thursday, May 15.
In a statement released by the university, it was stated, "Both Harvard University and Mr. Kestenbaum appreciate the diligent and important efforts made by each of them to combat anti-Semitism at Harvard and beyond," adding, "Harvard and Mr. Kestenbaum are pleased to have reached a resolution to the lawsuit." The details of the settlement were not disclosed, and the student's lawyers did not comment on media requests.
This agreement comes after four months of Harvard committing to enhance the protection of Jewish students, following the settlement of two previous lawsuits accusing the university of fostering anti-Semitism.
Previously, Jewish students complained about the university's tolerance of what they described as "defaming their reputation," facing accusations of being "killers" and increasing attacks, as well as criticizing the appointment of professors alleged to promote violence against Jews and spread anti-Semitic propaganda.
Kestenbaum, who graduated from Harvard Divinity School last year, has become a prominent voice in the Republican-led campaign against anti-Semitism at top American universities.
Harvard is one of the main targets of this campaign, especially after the administration of former President Donald Trump suspended or canceled federal grants and contracts worth over $2.6 billion to the university in recent weeks.
