In a precise security operation, the General Security Administration succeeded on Saturday, May 3, in arresting two wanted individuals, and seizing quantities of weapons and ammunition in the city of Al-Qardaha in the countryside of Latakia.

According to security sources, this operation came after intensive monitoring of the movements of the targeted group, where security units raided a suspicious site in the vicinity of the city, and managed to apprehend the two persons, who were found in possession of various firearms and ammunition, which were seized and documented in accordance with legal procedures.

The sources confirmed that this operation is part of ongoing campaigns to combat elements threatening security, especially those involved in targeting army points and security agencies, seeking to sow chaos or undermine stability.

They also indicated that investigations are still ongoing under the supervision of the judiciary to uncover the full network and its supporting entities, affirming that the security forces will not allow any area to become a haven for criminals or armed elements.
