The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the number of child deaths due to severe malnutrition has risen to 66 children, due to the continued strict blockade imposed by Israel, the complete closure of crossings, and the prevention of entry of infant formula and nutritional supplements designated for vulnerable and weak groups, especially infants and patients.

The statement issued this Saturday morning explained that this behavior "constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity, revealing the deliberate use of starvation by the Israeli army as a weapon to exterminate civilians, especially children, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and Geneva Conventions."

The Media Office condemned this ongoing crime against childhood in the Gaza Strip, denouncing the international silence towards the suffering of children who are left prey to hunger, disease, and slow death. It held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for this catastrophe, along with the supporting countries involved in the genocide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, for actively participating in these grave violations.

The Media Office called on the international community, the United Nations, Arab and Islamic countries to urgently intervene and pressure the occupation to open the crossings immediately, allow the entry of food and medical supplies, and save the remaining children and patients before it is too late.
