In a new step to expand its operations in Europe, TikTok announced its plans to expand its online store "TikTok Store" to include France, Germany, and Italy soon, starting next week. Since its launch in the UK in 2021, the "TikTok Store" has achieved great success, and the company is now preparing to expand its platform to include other markets in the European continent. Despite strong sales in the United States, TikTok's future in the American market remains unclear due to regulatory challenges, according to Reuters. However, TikTok hopes to strengthen its presence in Europe by attracting more sellers, including many merchants selling products directly from China. In statements to Reuters, Jean Wilk, Chief Operating Officer at "TikTok Store" in the UK, said they are already working with merchants in the new European countries to list their products on the platform, noting that "TikTok Store" will be available to users in these countries starting next Monday. TikTok also aims to expand its range of products with various prices, focusing on offering discounted prices. For example, Wilk revealed a store specializing in luxury goods in the UK selling used Birkin bags through the platform. With this move, TikTok looks forward to providing a comprehensive shopping experience for its users in Europe, with offers ranging from everyday consumer products to luxury goods at reasonable prices.
