A fire suddenly broke out in one of the engines of a plane belonging to "Delta Airlines" this morning as it was preparing to take off from Orlando International Airport in Florida, with about 300 passengers on board.
The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. local time, causing panic that led the crew to carry out an emergency evacuation using the inflatable slides, as flames rose from the engine of an Airbus A330 aircraft before it left the runway.
Flight number 1213 was bound for Atlanta with 282 passengers and a crew of 12 on board.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that an immediate investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the fire, amid growing concerns about recent aviation incidents in the United States.
Delta Airlines stated that the flight crew swiftly and professionally handled the situation, implementing emergency procedures as soon as the flames appeared.
Although no reports of serious injuries were received, the incident once again highlighted the importance of efficient and rapid response in aviation emergencies.
It is worth noting that this incident is part of a series of emergency aviation events that have raised concerns among passengers and authorities, prompting calls for increased scrutiny and technical inspection of aircraft.
