Russia and Ukraine exchange 307 soldiers on the second day of the largest prisoner swap since the beginning of the war between the two countries.

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his belief that this operation, which is set to release 1000 prisoners from each side over three days, will pave the way for a new phase in negotiating a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the exchange on Saturday, which was confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky via Telegram.
Zelensky wrote, "We expect more tomorrow... Our goal is to bring each of us back from Russian captivity."
The first stage of the prisoner exchange operation on Friday saw the release of 390 prisoners from each side, including 120 civilians. Both sides stated that more releases are planned in the coming days.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that Russia is ready to provide Ukraine with a draft document outlining the terms of a long-term peace agreement once the current prisoner exchange operation is completed.
The exchange took place shortly after the Ukrainian capital was hit by Russian airstrikes using long-range drones and ballistic missiles overnight, resulting in 15 injuries.
