Filming of a new Syrian series titled "Caesar" began on Monday, 24/02/2025, in the Syrian capital Damascus. The series is inspired by real events that took place in the infamous and notorious "Sednaya" prison.

The drama consists of 30 episodes, divided into 10 dramatic trilogies, each featuring many Syrian acting stars.

Directed by Safwan Mustafa Naimo, the series was co-written by prominent writers including Adnan Odeh, Zuhair Al-Malla, Muayyad Al-Nabulsi, Luay Al-Nouri, and Najib Nasir. The series documents real events and impactful human stories about the tragedy of the "Sednaya" prison, which has been in the public eye since the fall of the previous Syrian regime.

The series' focus on human stories from inside "Sednaya" prison is unprecedented, and it is expected to attract high viewership. The announcement of a drama about the prison has caused a significant buzz among the audience.
