The Champions League playoff is heating up... Ten champions are at risk of leaving:
The knockout playoff matches in the UEFA Champions League kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, as ten clubs who have previously won the title face the danger of an early exit, in the first experience of this stage under the new competition format.
The most prominent matches include a heavyweight clash between Real Madrid, the title holder and record holder in the tournament, and Manchester City, the champion from two seasons ago, in a match that brings back memories of their repeated encounters in the knockout stages in recent years.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich, the German football leader, faces a relatively easier test against Celtic from Scotland, the first British club to win the championship. Juventus will face PSV Eindhoven in one of the Italian-Dutch encounters, while Milan will meet Feyenoord in a similar match.
Away from the title-winning clubs, Atalanta from Italy will face Club Brugge from Belgium, while the tournament witnesses a pure French encounter between Paris Saint-Germain and one of the surprises of the first round, Brest.
First leg match schedule:
Tuesday 8:45 PM:
Brest × Paris Saint-Germain
Sporting Lisbon × Borussia Dortmund
Tuesday 11:00 PM:
Manchester City × Real Madrid
Juventus × PSV Eindhoven
Wednesday 8:45 PM:

Club Brugge × Atalanta
Wednesday 11:00 PM:
Feyenoord × Milan

The second leg matches will be held next week, in matches that will determine who will continue towards the round of 16, and who will bid farewell to the tournament early.
