European traders: Syria has not carried out any purchases yet after launching an international tender seeking around 100,000 tons of wheat flour.

They added that Syria may launch a new purchasing tender soon.
The tender required shipments to be delivered within 45 days of contracting.
Syria bought around 100,000 tons of wheat in a previous tender on March 25, believed to be the first major purchase since the regime change in Syria on December 8.
Traders expect Damascus to use a donation from Iraq of about 220,000 tons of wheat to Syria to meet the needs that were supposed to be covered by the required quantities.
