The Syrian Internal Security Forces arrested Brigadier Pilot Ghazi Khalil Suleiman today, Tuesday, during a security operation in the city of Banias in Tartus.
It is worth mentioning that Suleiman hails from the village of Marana in the countryside of Banias in Tartus Governorate. He was the commander of the Su-24 aircraft squadron at Tiyas Military Airbase in the countryside of Homs and worked at Sayqal Military Airbase in the countryside of Damascus.
He also piloted MiG-23 aircraft at Hama Military Airbase during the years 2011 and 2012.
He participated in most battles with the ousted regime from 2011 until the regime fell in January 2024.
