President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues, during a phone call on Friday, March 28. Erdogan emphasized the importance of Turkey and Russia's cooperation for achieving lasting stability in Syria, stressing the need for joint action in this regard. He also expressed Ankara's support for integrating the "Syrian Democratic Forces" into the Syrian central administration, highlighting the importance of placing Syria's resources under the control of the legitimate Syrian government.
