Egypt Revokes Citizenship of Three Members of the Brotherhood After Attack on Its Mission in New York

According to what was published by the official newspaper, the decision issued by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly included Akram Ahmed Al-Samak (46 years old), and his two sons Yassin (22 years old) and Ali (15 years old), after they obtained the citizenship of another country without prior permission from the Egyptian authorities, in a clear violation of Egyptian law.
The attack, which was claimed to pressure Cairo to open the Rafah crossing and ease the siege on the Palestinians, sparked a wave of official condemnations, especially after repeated similar incidents targeting Egyptian embassies abroad, including attacks on the embassy in London.
Official Stance and Diplomatic Warnings
The Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty emphasized that Egyptian embassies are an extension of national sovereignty, asserting that there are strict instructions not to allow anyone to approach their walls or harm them.
Ongoing Support for Gaza Despite Accusations
Despite the accusations made by the attackers, Cairo confirmed its continued efforts to support the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, which operates around the clock to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid, including tens of thousands of trucks and ambulances, and to receive thousands of injured and sick Palestinians in Egyptian hospitals.
